Job summary

General Motors seeks a Manager, Cybersecurity Engineer to lead GM Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance and own the product cybersecurity compliance posture across vehicle programs and markets.

You will drive threat analysis, policy input, and regulatory alignment while orchestrating audits, remediation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, legal, and supply teams on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience with GRC focus.
• Proven leadership including people and performance management.
• Deep knowledge of UNR155, UNECE WP.29, NIST CSF and related frameworks.
• Experience with Vehicle Type Approval and CSMS audits.
• Hands-on TARA methodologies in vehicle lifecycle.
• Policy/standards development aligned to regulations
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across global teams
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-complexity programs

Responsibilities

• Own GM’s product cybersecurity controls framework across programs and markets.
• Lead Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment activities for vehicle products.
• Provide input to policies and standards; ensure cross-functional integration.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and government-facing audits.
• Drive remediation for control gaps with engineering teams.
• Lead and mentor cybersecurity GRC professionals; set KPIs.
