Job summary

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our rapidly growing cybersecurity team at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on analyzing cyber threat intelligence, identifying IOCs, and assessing threats to DoD networks and information systems.

The analyst will investigate malicious activity, correlate threat intel with adversary tactics, and develop countermeasures to detect, prevent, and mitigate threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Familiarity with DoD policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Receive and act on warning intelligence from intelligence sources.
• Perform preliminary analysis on warning intel and IOCs.
• Share warnings, notes, and reports with end customers.
• Analyze potential impacts to operations from warning intel.
• Analyze reports to identify IOCs and develop countermeasures.
• Assess IOCs against known groups and related infrastructure.
• Distribute countermeasures to prevent/mitigate threats.
• Share countermeasures with peer DCO organizations and clients.
