Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or related security role.
• System administrator-level analysis across multiple platforms/OS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify adversary activity.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across networks, endpoints, and data to identify and help eradicate threats.
• Analyze logs from packet captures, correlation engines, parsed security data, and endpoint telemetry to detect suspicious activity.
• Establish baseline patterns for normal traffic and system activity to improve anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to optimize alerts, analytics, and monitoring logic.
• Develop automation scripts using SOAR platforms, Python, or PowerShell to streamline hunting tasks.
• Research adversary TTPs and generate investigative leads based on threat intelligence.
• Support incident response with documentation, follow-up actions, and recommendations.
• Examine malware and threats to determine threat nature and potential impact.
• Apply reverse engineering with Ghidra and IDA Pro to support analysis.
