Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Threat (Forensics) Analyst, Senior Associate, to support a longstanding customer in Chantilly, VA. The role involves conducting host-based and network-based digital forensic examinations and delivering findings through technical reports and briefings.

The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance with poly, a High School Diploma plus 5+ years of related experience, and hands-on expertise with forensic tools such as EnCase, Autopsy, X-Ways, and Axiom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with a minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Experience conducting digital forensics on Windows, OS X, and Linux.
• Experience with EnCase, Autopsy, X-Ways, Axiom and other forensic tools.
• Experience writing technical reports and briefing findings to diverse audiences.

This autonomous role supports active operations and presents the candidate with cutting edge challenges in the digital forensic arena. This rewarding position will be responsible for applying knowledge in digital investigations to support criminal and national security cases. Candidates will conduct in-depth host-based and network-based digital forensic examinations using both industry-wide forensic and network tools, as well as specialized applications to forward the investigations.QualificationsEducation / Experience:High School Diploma with a minimum 5 years of related experienceExperience conducting digital forensics on a variety of media, including Windows, OS X, and LinuxExperience with EnCase, Autopsy, X-Ways, Axiom, and other forensic toolsExperience conducting disk and network forensic analysisExperience with volatile memory analysisExperience writing Technical Reports, detailing results of analysisExperience briefing technical findings to a variety of audiencesActive TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a polygraphTarget Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
