Job summary

BHSI invites a motivated individual to join the Cyber & Technology team in NYC as a 12-week paid summer internship. You will gain hands-on experience evaluating risk and underwriting cyber, E&O, and related liability, and collaborate with seasoned underwriters and cross-functional teams.

During the internship, you will analyze submission materials, meet external broker partners and clients, and contribute to real-world projects that protect clients and drive business results.

Qualifications

• Interest in insurance, underwriting, analytics, business or technology
• Awareness of ransomware, data breaches, negligence, and AI matters
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator and team player
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite Cyber insurance, Errors & Omissions insurance, Miscellaneous Professional liability and Media Liability.
• Analyze Insureds’ cyber hygiene and professional liability exposures through submission materials.
• Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams, including claims and actuarial teams.
• Meet external broker partners and clients to build your professional network.
• Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.
• Collaborate with BHSI Interns across North America.
