Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a VP, Practice Leader – Cyber & Tech E&O to drive profitable growth and technical excellence across channel business in a hybrid environment. You will lead product management and underwriting, guide risk selection, pricing, and policy development, and own the P&L for the product suite.

You will build and refine underwriting tools, lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, claims, actuarial and distribution teams, and mentor underwriters while advancing market

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management and/or underwriting of Cyber/Tech E&O products.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, customer segments, competitors, and trends for Cyber/Tech E&O products.
• Exceptional skills in product visioning, strategy formulation, roadmap development, prioritization, and execution.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior executives, internal stakeholders and key customers/brokers.
• Experience with Lloyd’s of London, CPCU or RPLU designation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber and Tech E&O product portfolio with underwriting strategy, risk appetite, pricing and coverage direction, driving profitable growth and underwriting excellence.
• Own and deliver the P&L for your product(s) by setting vision and strategy, driving change management and collaboration.
• Set underwriting risk, concentration risk, and aggregate limit strategies; manage underwriter authority and training.
• Build and maintain underwriting tools for risk evaluation, including applications, guidelines, risk scoring, and data utilization.
• Collaborate with marketing, distribution development, claims, actuarial, and underwriting operations to deliver competitive, compliant solutions.
• Identify and implement product and underwriting initiatives based on customer value, feasibility and risk appetite.
