Job summary

Naval Intelligence Activity seeks a System Testing and Evaluation Specialist to plan, execute, and assess tests of IT systems on classified networks. You will develop test plans, analyze interoperability, and ensure compliance with requirements across Windows and Linux environments.

The role requires one year of IT experience in federal or related sectors, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within DoD DCIPS policies.

Qualifications

• One year of information technology-related experience in federal, private, or public sector demonstrating four core competencies: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 pay band performing duties such as systems administration, network operations, or systems test and evaluation.
• Experience in planning and executing developmental, operational, and interoperability testing; developing test plans and data requirements; installing and maintaining OS software; using virtualization platforms; applying automation tools; and maintaining security documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute tests of systems and analyze/report results.
• Install and maintain OS software on multiple classified networks (including SAP and CAP).
• Apply knowledge of Windows, Linux, geospatial software, and A/V support.
• Develop test plans addressing specs and requirements.
• Provide tracking and oversight of multiple systems under evaluation for compliance.
• Perform developmental testing and interoperability testing between systems.
• Analyze results of software, hardware, or interoperability testing.
• Conduct periodic performance assessments of IT activities and components.
