Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer or Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join a deployment-focused team supporting secure airborne and terrestrial systems. You will configure secure Linux/Windows environments, manage logs with Splunk, and collaborate across IPTs to improve deployment processes.

Applicants should have a related engineering degree, RHEL experience, RMF knowledge, and the ability to obtain/maintain required clearances.

Qualifications

BS in science, engineering, or related field, with 2 years of experience (or 0 with a Masters).
RHEL administration incl. user mgmt, patches, troubleshooting.
IPv4/IPv6 networking knowledge.
DISA STIGs to secure and harden systems.
Experience with datacenter server infrastructure and RMF lifecycle.
Splunk for log analysis, searches and dashboards.
Travel up to 50%; US Citizen; Secret clearance (Top Secret after start); SAP/SAR clearance ability.

Responsibilities

Join deployment team supporting initial deployment, operations and maintenance of a complex system.
Perform hands-on installation, integration, staging, and transport of equipment up to 40 lb.
Collaborate with multiple IPTs to develop process knowledge and improve deployment processes.
Configure and maintain secure Linux/Windows/cloud OS, apply scans and patches.
Collect, audit, report and store log data for system reviews and compliance.
Develop artifacts to support assessment and authorization of the system.
Maintain current certifications and training; travel up to 50%.
