Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Principal Computer System Architect to lead system architecture for complex development networks. You will collaborate with software teams, install and sustain systems, and drive automation and security practices.

Ideal candidates have deep Linux/Red Hat expertise, scripting and containerization skills, and a willingness to travel. This on-site role is part of our Mission Systems team with a 9/80 schedule option.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with a Bachelors in Science or equivalent.
• Strong Linux and Red Hat operating systems expertise.
• Experience with security hardening and STIGs.
• Proficient scripting with Bash and Python; Ansible experience helpful.
• Experience with containerization and virtualization tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and define system architectures for development networks.
• Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware/software.
• Develop infrastructure procedures and security support.
• Document systems and coordinate with government engineers.
• Travel up to 10% and work closely with lab teams.
