Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost/risk analyses across all lifecycle stages from concept to disposal.

The role requires a STEM degree with related experience, US citizenship, DoD Secret clearance or higher, DoD 8570 IAT Level II, and hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, LAN/WAN, and Windows/Linux. It is an in-person, 100% onsite position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of related experience
US Citizenship, current DoD Secret clearance or higher
Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
Experience with VMware ESXi, VMWare vCenter
Experience with LAN and WAN management
Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments
Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time

Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses across total systems
Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Conduct analyses at all levels of total system product lifecycle
Perform functional, timeline and trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies
