Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost/risk analyses across all lifecycle stages from concept to disposal.

The role requires a STEM degree with related experience, US citizenship, DoD Secret clearance or higher, DoD 8570 IAT Level II, and hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, LAN/WAN, and Windows/Linux. It is an in-person, 100% onsite position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of related experience
• US Citizenship, current DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with VMware ESXi, VMWare vCenter
• Experience with LAN and WAN management
• Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments
• Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time

Standard Job Description

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of related experience
• US Citizenship, current DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with VMWare ESXi, VMWare vCenter
• Experience with LAN and WAN management
• Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments

Desired Skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
