Job summary

SEACORP in Manassas, VA is seeking a Software Engineer for the Cyber Team to design, build and test software for the U.S. Navy’s SWFTS program. You will contribute to cybersecurity, resilience, and secure operation of critical systems aboard submarines.

The role invites engineers at all levels, emphasizes on‑the‑job learning, Agile practices, and collaboration with government and SEACORP staff; DoD Secret clearance is required or able to obtain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 1+ year of software development experience.
• Ability to program in Java, Python, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software in Java, Python, and C++.
• Develop applications, APIs, automation, and prototypes for Navy cyber and data systems.
• Work on tasks with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Participate in an Agile team with daily scrums, sprints, and reviews.
• Use Git, Linux, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Learn modern cybersecurity, data, cloud, and AI-assisted development technologies on the job.
