Job description

Position is fully remote with travel at the Team Manager's discretion.

Contingent on contract award.

Connected Logistics is seeking a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Fuels Operational Technology Support Services (FOTSS) program.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager or designated representative.
2. Monitor Energy Applications for Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including SCADA, DCS, EMCS, and others as applicable.
3. Assess compliance with IA policy and recommend improvements.
4. Monitor IA for Energy Applications to ensure compliance with Federal, DOD, and DLA IA policies.
5. Oversee certification and accreditation activities.
6. Update documentation to support FISMA and DOD RMF reporting requirements.
7. Perform technical reviews of security certification results, assessing their comprehensiveness.
8. Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems.
9. Recommend procedures, software configurations, or system changes to mitigate risks.
10. Analyze vulnerability scans, SRR results, and STIG compliance during IA reviews.
11. Track deficiencies and vulnerabilities from identification through mitigation.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with the design, maintenance, and operation of highly complex and secure communication networks.
• Experience with Firewall/IPS, antivirus, security incident management, virtual environments, and network security management.
• Understanding of communication protocols, network technologies, and the ISO OSI model.
• Knowledge of RMF processes for system and application controls.
• Knowledge of DOD/DLA security policies and compliance.
• Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAM level III.
• Ten years of industry, government, or consulting experience in IT management.
• Experience with IT project management tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Must possess an IT-III security clearance or have a current NACI at the time of proposal submission.
• This role is fully remote with travel as determined by the Team Manager.

Preferred Skills

• 10 years of C&A experience.
• NIST C&A and DOD IA experience.
