Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Cyber Security Principal to join our security operations team in a fully remote role based in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on building and maintaining XSOAR playbooks, writing Python automation, and supporting incident response analysts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Palo Alto XSOAR development experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Splunk. Healthcare industry experience and AI integrations are a plus, with opportunities for growth

Role Overview

We are seeking a Palo Alto XSOAR Developer to join a security operations team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining XSOAR playbooks, writing Python code for automation, and supporting incident response analysts. The position requires a candidate with a high level of expertise in XSOAR development and a passion for automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Palo Alto XSOAR playbooks.
• Write Python code to implement security automation.
• Identify and define new opportunities for Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR).
• Provide technical support to incident response analysts in their use of SOAR tools.
• Perform and document root cause analysis for security incidents.
• Develop cyber security analytics and threat intelligence using multiple data sources.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
• Drive the execution of initiatives to improve enterprise security.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3+ years of related experience, including hands-on Palo Alto XSOAR development and experience creating automation playbooks.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, Palo Alto XSOAR, and Splunk. Possess knowledge of incident response and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Tanium, or Azure.
• Knowledge of forensics and networking principles.
• Interest or familiarity with LLM/AI integrations.
• Experience in the healthcare industry.
