Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks internship candidates to tackle complex cyber challenges for DoD sponsors. You will join a technical team delivering engineering, development, and integration tasks, supporting cyber system integration, tool evaluation, and vulnerability analysis.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS, cybersecurity, math, or engineering degrees with strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication. U.S.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Knowledge and application of cybersecurity principles.
Experience in independent problem solving.
Knowledge or experience with cybersecurity engineering, software development, embedded systems, network design/configuration, data analytics, reverse engineering, AI/ML techniques, autonomy, or system exploitation.
Excellent communication skills.
Eligibility to obtain Interim Secret and final Secret level security clearances (U.S. citizenship).

Responsibilities

Work as part of a technical cyber team performing engineering, development, and integration tasks.
Contribute to vulnerability identification and cyber tool evaluation.
Assist in software development, design analysis and overall cyber solution implementation for constrained environments.
