Job summary

Devon is offering a focused cybersecurity internship on our Digital Security team. You will work with experienced professionals on real-world security challenges, gaining exposure to multiple domains and hands-on project work.

You'll analyze problems, gather requirements, support incident response and risk management, and learn best practices in security operations, data protection, and governance while exploring tools and cloud security across Devon's environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Digital Security team members and business stakeholders to understand security requirements, risks, and objectives.
• Analyze security problems, gather requirements, and help determine and implement solutions.
• Support Information Assurance activities — assessing controls, policies, and compliance.
• Assist with Incident Response — monitoring, triage, investigation, and documentation of security events.
• Contribute to Risk Management — identifying, assessing, and helping track and remediate risks.
• Support Cloud Security efforts across Devon's cloud environments.
• Assist with Threat Intelligence — researching threats, indicators, and emerging attack trends.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional projects to gain exposure to security operations and technology strategies.
• Learn and apply best practices in security operations, data protection, and governance.
• Stay current with emerging security technologies and threat trends through active learning and professional development

This program provides exposure to multiple domains of information security, real-world security challenges, and collaboration with experienced professionals across Devon. Education:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Requirements:

Full-time student enrollment.

Pursuing a degree in information security, information technology, management information systems, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.

GPA 3.0 or higher.
