Job summary

Devon is offering an Accounting Internship and Co-Op program to students pursuing degrees in accounting, finance, or business. Participants will work on real-world journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement prep while gaining exposure to tax tasks and corporate processes.

Students will collaborate across departments, apply LEAN and automation concepts, and develop professional skills inside a corporate environment with potential housing support for summer interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, business or related disciplines.
• College level status should be Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties typically assigned to entry-level accountants.
• Apply general accounting and tax concepts to daily, monthly, and quarterly assignments.
• Prepare and post journal entries; assist with general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of financial statements, management reports, and/or tax returns.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Participate in diversified on-the-job assignments to enhance technical skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with various departments.
• Present findings and learnings to team members and/or management.

Position Overview

Devon’s Accounting and Tax Internship(s) and Co-Ops provide students with the opportunity to learn and apply accounting and tax principles in a professional office environment. Students participate in both team and individual assignments, gaining exposure to real-world accounting tasks and projects. This program is designed to help students develop technical and professional skills while exploring potential career opportunities at Devon.

Education

• Full-time student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related disciplines.
• College level: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
