Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to bridge high-level security policies and technical implementations across RMF/A&A lifecycles. You will guide development teams and enforce compliance to NIST, STIGs, and Zero Trust in support of mission systems.

Your work protects mission-critical systems, reduces risk, and enables secure delivery of operations, with oversight of ATO processes and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience requirements as stated.
• Experience with RMF/A&A processes.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253, STIGs, and Zero Trust.
• Experience with Windows, RHEL, Oracle Linux, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and produce clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Gather system information and data flows within the authorization boundary and create Body of Evidence artifacts.
• Maintain A&A artifacts as systems evolve.
• Review vulnerability scans and develop patching and remediation plans per DISA STIGs.
• Document justifications for patching or configuration tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with GEODS teams and agency A&A personnel to meet deadlines.
• Update Service+ CMDB inventory and service tickets.
• Support RMF/A&A activities including XACTA 360 sections and evidence deliverables.
• Participate in Continuous Monitoring and patch strategy development.
