Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures. The role covers firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and NAC with on‑prem and cloud tooling.

You will monitor threats, perform assessments, and develop security policies while collaborating with IT and security teams to raise the organization’s security posture. The position requires a bachelor’s in a related field (or equivalent experience) and US citizenship, with a remote work option

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 1+ years in security roles.
• Masters, JD or PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of network/cybersecurity experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and NAC.
• Monitor traffic and logs for anomalies and threats.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and pentesting.
• Develop and enforce security policies and standards.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve posture.
• Manage security tooling on-prem and in cloud environments.
• Maintain SIEM, EDR, and DLP configurations.
• Stay updated on threats and document incidents and mitigations.
