Job Description:

Job Duties:

1. Design and develop scalable, secure software for cloud native and on-prem services/systems.
2. Participate in operational review of technical systems across the company.
3. Evaluate partner and third-party systems for adequate design and protections.
4. Be able to simply convey sophisticated data security concepts to partners, other specialists, and company leaders, while evangelizing accurate usage.
5. Help application developers accurately use database encryption techniques and technology.
6. Work with peers and leaders around the company to set, and then implement the vision for cryptography.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field [MS preferred]
2. Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms
3. Ability to code in one or more of: Java, C++, Python [Java experience preferred]
4. Experience in Data Security, Application Security and SPLC
5. Excellent understanding of Operating Systems security concepts and kernel components
6. Strong Security experience in Windows/Linux internals and kernel
7. Proven security knowledge of modern kernels (i.e., Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, or HP/UX) in kernel/C development, debugging, problem and performance analysis.
8. Knowledge of modern encryption and hashing algorithms and their usage, purposes, and weaknesses in varied scenarios.
9. Knowledge and experience in cloud computing and how services operate.
10. Become a motivated product and industry influence by maintaining deep technical and business knowledge of various market segments and of best-of-breed security strategies.
11. Working across client with fellow Architects, Senior Staff, Principal Engineers, product management, and other partners to define the technical roadmap for the product(s) in response to customer requirements and market forces.
12. Experience with SMTP, TCP/IP, algorithms, multi-tasking, device drivers a plus.
13. Familiar with secure architecture design and principles.
14. Familiar with data protection measures required in regulations like GDPR, PCI and CCPA.
15. Any security certification is a plus.

Pay Range: $60 - $62

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
