Job summary

Millennium Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support DoD software development with an active secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility. You will define cybersecurity requirements, perform security testing, and guide engineers in secure practices throughout the development lifecycle.

The role demands hands-on assessment of compliance, adversarial testing, and leadership of junior engineers while integrating DoD RMF controls and vulnerability reporting into program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT or related field.
• Experience across all phases of the system development lifecycle.
• Experience with Linux system administration and security hardening.
• Familiarity with threat assessment and mitigation.
• Experience with offensive security tools and adversarial techniques.
• Experience implementing controls per NIST SP 800-53.
• Experience with Cyber Range Environments.
• Understanding of Risk and Compliance Frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define cybersecurity requirements for software applications to meet program requirements and objectives.
• Provide recommendations to incorporate security engineering practices throughout the SDLC.
• Perform assessments of cybersecurity requirement compliance using manual and automated tools.
• Perform assessments using adversarial tools against network-enabled and web applications to identify weaknesses.
• Propose mitigation and countermeasures to reduce software threats.
• Interface with software development teams to ensure security principles are applied throughout the SDLC.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cybersecurity engineers.
