Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to develop and deploy cyber security solutions for the Starburst program. You will integrate with systems engineers, software engineers, and domain leads to execute product development and deployment.

The role emphasizes DoD IT environments, on-site work, and collaboration across teams to mitigate cyber risk and ensure information assurance throughout the enterprise IT portfolio.

Qualifications

• Solid background in Systems Administration using Linux and Windows desktop and server operating systems (Windows 11/Server 2022/RHEL)
• Understanding of traditional, and current on-prem enterprise IT systems and technologies and its impacts to the security of: Identification, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) for those systems. secure enterprise messaging Enterprise Logging Ingest, Cyber Situational Awareness and protection, Endpoint Detection and Response
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification e.g. CISSP and/or Security+, with the ability to maintain
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Responsibilities

• Work within the Security Engineering domain and as a part of the larger enterprise engineering effort, you will operate within a custom, air-gapped, Department of Defense IT network on a daily basis to perform advanced support and direct deployment of new capabilities at a sustained rate.
• Demonstrate your ability to create and present materials to convey concepts and ideas to a wide range of audiences
• Work primarily onsite in a closed area environment with occasionally opportunity to work offsite
• Demonstrate your ability to create, follow and update to system documentation, schematics and operational guides and procedures
• Demonstrate your ability to interface with other teams to help define, determine and implement cyber risk posture, cyber risk mitigation and information assurance throughout the enterprise IT service portfolio on a sustained level.
• Up to 10% of travel may be required
