• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, MFA, and access control.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Analyst to join our security team in a remote capacity. This role is suitable for candidates with a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.

The candidate will assist with security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, security tools, and cloud security while gaining practical experience in a professional cybersecurity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, alerts, and incidents using SIEM platforms.
• Analyze security logs and identify suspicious or malicious activity.
• Assist with incident detection, investigation, and response.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
• Support endpoint security and threat protection activities.
• Assist with Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Sentinel, Splunk, or similar security platforms.
• Analyze network traffic and security events.
• Support identity and access management activities.
• Assist with MFA, SSO, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID security.
• Perform security assessments and risk analysis.
• Assist with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop security reports, dashboards, and documentation.
• Participate in threat-hunting activities.
• Assist in developing security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Support security automation using Python, PowerShell, or scripting.
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.
• Document security incidents, findings, and remediation activities.

Required Skills

• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux security.
• Familiarity with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
• Basic knowledge of cloud security.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, MFA, and access control.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
