We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and execute advanced cybersecurity engineering initiatives that safeguard critical enterprise systems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing technical operations, developing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with federal and DoD cybersecurity standards. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures, contributing directly to the security posture of our clients’ systems. This position requires a proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with over five years of relevant cybersecurity experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and experience managing or leading small to medium‑sized technical teams supporting engineering operations. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of DoD/IC security policies and technical guidance, with an active IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA‑Security) or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment. Additional qualifications include strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
