Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies, LLC. seeks a Cyber Security Development Engineer to join the Advanced Capabilities team in Arlington, VA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, math, physics or STEM (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years in design, development, and management of complex software systems for the DoD.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
• Proficient in C++, Java, or Python.
• Advanced knowledge of security: firewalls, Linux, databases, cloud, secure coding.
• Expertise in encryption, authentication, SSO, MFA, PAM, secure API design.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure SDLC practices.
• Hands-on with security testing tools (Nessus, Nmap, Wireshark, Splunk, SCAP, Burp Suite, Metasploit).
• Understanding SSDLC and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement security controls within software and systems.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and pen tests.
• Develop and automate security tools to enhance the software lifecycle.
• Respond to security incidents with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Design, implement, and train ML models for anomaly detection and threat hunting.
• Collaborate with dev teams to embed security in the SDLC (DevSecOps).
• Fortify systems against threats and ensure compliance with DoD standards.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats and technologies to improve security posture.
