Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Corporate IT Security team in Puerto Rico. The role supports the Information Security Manager and CISO, focusing on identifying, mitigating, and responding to security risks across critical systems.

The analyst will conduct complex analyses, participate in incident response, manage third-party risk, and help align controls with COBIT, ISO, and NIST frameworks to protect financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or business.
• 3–5 years of Information Security experience or equivalent in banking.
• CISSP, CISM or similar certification is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist Information Security Manager and CISO to respond and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Coordinate Penetration Tests and Vulnerability Scans; evaluate results and remediate.
• Monitor security alerts, events, threat intel, and telemetry from SOC/MDR, EDR, network, cloud, and related platforms.
• Participate in Incident Response processes and in Cyber Security Risk Assessments.
• Map controls to COBIT, ISO, and NIST frameworks and communicate with stakeholders.
