Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst to monitor security events, investigate incidents, and coordinate containment and remediation efforts across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes threat detection, incident triage, and collaboration with security engineering, vulnerability management, and IT operations to strengthen cyber resilience. On-site in Austin with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university strongly preferred.
• At least 5+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, security operations or related disciplines.
• Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts across SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud and network security platforms.
• Lead investigations of cybersecurity events and incidents.
• Coordinate response activities with Incident Response, Security Engineering, and Cloud Operations teams.
• Develop and tune detection use cases, analytics, and dashboards.
• Provide guidance on threat intelligence findings and emerging risks.
