Job summary

GFB is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to monitor incident procedures, perform light triage, and escalate real incidents with countermeasures. You will contribute to playbooks, network models, and threat detection strategies while documenting actions in the ticketing system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of security or technology support experience; Master’s may substitute.
• Security+ or equivalent
• Experience with leading SIEM technologies, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and DLP.
• Understanding of attack activities (phishing, DDOS, malware) and basic networking.
• Self-m starter with ability to deliver in remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incident procedures to perform basic triage and eliminate obvious false positives.
• Develop light, time-boxed analyses of potential incidents and gather required information.
• Escalate potential incidents and implement countermeasures per escalation procedures; tune as needed.
• Maintain awareness of security architecture and threats; document actions in ticketing system.
• Perform security project work as assigned.
