MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join its dynamic team in Springfield, VA. This role is pivotal in defending the organization’s mission-critical systems against cyber threats by providing expert-level support in a fast-paced operational environment. The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will lead and support Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) activities, ensuring the continuous monitoring, detection, and response to cyber incidents. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in incident response, malware detection, and cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on maintaining the security posture of complex systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to national security objectives by applying advanced analytical skills and technical expertise to thwart cyber threats and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or have 4+ years of additional cyber experience in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience, specifically in incident response and malware detection, is required. The candidate must possess an active IAT Level II certification, such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security. Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems is essential, along with a working knowledge of current Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) cybersecurity technologies. Familiarity with database and operating system security concepts, as well as an understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols, is necessary. Preferred qualifications include active CNDSP-IR certifications like GCIH, CSIH, or CEH, and prior experience within a Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environment. Knowledge of COTS technologies used in cybersecurity engineering environments will be advantageous.
