MANTECH is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Fort Meade, MD. You will translate complex data into actionable insights and drive the development and deployment of analytics for national security applications in secure cloud environments.

You will prototype data pipelines and analytic models, collaborate with intelligence analysts and SMEs, and ensure solutions meet mission-critical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline or four additional years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience in data science, data engineering, or data analytics.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, data analysis, and data pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Execute multiple data science projects within secure cloud environments, adhering to security protocols.
• Collaborate with customers, analysts, and subject matter experts to define analytic requirements aligned with mission objectives.
• Prototype, develop and transition data pipelines and analytic models into scalable, operational platforms.
• Apply advanced statistical modeling and graph-based techniques to analyze complex datasets for future ML applications.
• Manage analytic tasks, deliver high-quality work, and meet project milestones with focus on accuracy and security.
• Support development of ML models and workflows, including containerization and deployment in cloud infrastructure.
• Document analytic processes and findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will be responsible for prototyping, testing, and transitioning data pipelines and analytic models into secure, operational environments, ensuring they meet mission-critical requirements. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in data science and analytics. A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science, data science, or physics is required, or alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Candidates should have at least seven years of professional experience in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst, demonstrating proficiency with standard data analysis tools and programming languages, including Python, R, SQL, or similar. A solid understanding of statistical modeling, data analysis, and data pipeline development is essential for success in this role.
