Job description

Join Us

At Vodafone, we're not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we're shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you're part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you'll do

As the Secure by Design Supervisor, you will lead the local Secure by Design capability and ensure that security is embedded by design and by default across Vodafone Greece products, services and technology solutions. You will be accountable for the quality, consistency and timely delivery of security architecture, design assurance and risk assessments across the change lifecycle.

You will lead and develop the SbD team, set priorities, manage demand and act as the senior escalation point for complex or high-risk initiatives. Working closely with Technology, Digital, Network, Vodafone Business, Group Cyber Security and other control functions, you will translate Cyber strategy and standards into pragmatic local outcomes while maintaining clear visibility of risk, remediation and residual exposure.

More specifically you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop the local Secure by Design team, setting clear objectives, managing performance, building capability and establishing effective succession coverage.
  • Own the local Secure by Design operating model, including demand intake, prioritisation, resource allocation, assessment quality, governance, metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee end-to-end security architecture and design assurance for complex or high-impact initiatives across applications, cloud, infrastructure, networks, APIs, identity, data, third parties and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure security requirements are embedded throughout the product and solution lifecycle, from concept and architecture through build, testing, deployment and material change.
  • Act as the senior Cyber escalation and decision-support point for significant design risks, exceptions, control gaps and residual-risk discussions, ensuring clear ownership and appropriate governance.
  • Provide authoritative security advice to Technology, Digital, Network, Vodafone Business and Product teams, balancing security requirements, delivery constraints and business priorities.
  • Drive consistent application of Vodafone Group Cyber standards, Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices, while identifying local gaps and coordinating proportionate remediation.
  • Build strong relationships with Group Cyber Security and local stakeholders, representing Vodafone Greece in relevant governance, architecture and assurance forums.
  • Define and report meaningful management information covering demand, assessment progress, risk exposure, remediation, exceptions, quality and capacity.
  • Drive automation and process improvement across security assessment, assurance evidence, risk tracking and reporting to improve scalability and time to market.
  • Contribute to Cyber Security strategy, workforce planning, budget planning and capability roadmaps for the Secure by Design domain.
  • Support major incidents, regulatory or audit activities where solution design, architecture or product-security expertise is required.
Who you are
  • Typically 8+ years of Cyber Security experience, including substantial experience in security architecture, Secure by Design, application security, cloud security or DevSecOps, with demonstrated team leadership or people-management responsibility.
  • Proven ability to lead a specialist security function, manage competing demand, make risk-based decisions and maintain delivery quality in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Secure SDLC, threat modelling, security architecture, application and API security, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience leading complex security assessments and communicating findings, remediation expectations and residual risk to senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and talent-development skills, including objective setting, performance management and succession planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability across senior Technology, Business, Risk, Privacy and Group Cyber stakeholders.
  • High integrity and sound judgement, with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and maintain transparent risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex Cyber topics into clear business language.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSSLP, SABSA or equivalent are considered an advantage.
What's in it for you
  • Award-winning work environment – certified #1 Top Employer in Greece
  • Competitive pay, bonus & remuneration package
  • Private Health & Medical Insurance
  • Hybrid way of working: a blend of remote and office-based working, including the option to work from abroad
