Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to oversee three cyber risk workstreams led by Senior Consultants. You will coordinate across cybersecurity risk teams, stakeholders, and federal partners to ensure alignment with CISA, OMB, and NIST directives.

The role requires active clearance, strong communication, and governance expertise. Responsibilities include leading risk assessments, HVA oversight, policy development, and presenting findings to executive audiences.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
• US Citizenship is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Certified in CISSP, CRISC, CAP/CGRC, or CISA

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage and lead the development and execution of cybersecurity risk management, risk governance, risk assessments and HVA oversight and assessments
• Provide strategic direction and QA/QC across workstreams and review deliverables
• Advise on federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST) and ensure alignment with directives
• Develop, maintain agency-wide cybersecurity policies, SOPs and playbooks
• Prepare risk management plans and project schedules to ensure efficient operations
• Provide expert guidance to system owners and leadership on cybersecurity best practices
• Present risk assessment findings to technical and executive audiences with clear recommendations
• Collaborate with federal agencies such as CISA and DoS; adapt guidance to resource constraints

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

Seven (7) years of cybersecurity experience OR Master’s + 5 years
