Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV seeks a part-time Cyber Range Coordinator to manage TMCC's cyber range, design realistic cybersecurity exercises, and collaborate with faculty and partners. The role supports instructional labs, competitions, and outreach activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining security, aligning with NIST NICE and CISA CTEP, and developing a reusable exercise repository. The position reports to Human Resources and is up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in cybersecurity/CS/IT or related field, or equivalent
• 3 years in cybersecurity, systems/IT infrastructure or IT support with virtualized networks
• Experience configuring, operating, or troubleshooting lab/range environments (VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox)
• Ability to design and deliver scenario-based training to technical/non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Administer and enhance TMCC's cyber range infrastructure
• Configure, deploy and maintain isolated cyber range environments for instruction and training
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, virtualization, and access issues
• Develop repeatable, versioned lab environments and templates for reuse
• Design, build, and facilitate realistic cybersecurity tabletop exercises
• Collaborate with faculty, NSHE partners, and community stakeholders to align with curricula and outreach
