Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Range Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced cyber training environments for U.S. CYBER COMMAND initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Windows and Linux, virtualization (VMware), and cybersecurity tooling in a fast-paced setting. The candidate will lead content development, exercise validation, and operational support across range enclaves, ensuring robust training scenarios and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8 years of relevant experience (or 6 years additional experience in lieu of degree).
• Hands-on in Windows and Linux, with VMware and virtualized environments; relevant cloud/VMware certifications.

Responsibilities

• Cyber Range: build and configure content, VMs, networks, accounts, tooling, and exercise injects.
• Support cyber exercises and operations, including planning, building, and executing training events.
• Operate offensive and defensive training content, with red cell tools, defensive sensors, and supporting apps; provide network and infrastructure support.
• Provide event support during execution windows, including readiness checks, access support, troubleshooting, and rapid issue resolution.
• Document build notes, runbooks, diagrams, and after-action inputs for repeatable delivery.
