Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems Cyber & Intelligence seeks a Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner Junior to support Cyberspace Operations planning and coordination. You will work with USCYBERCOM and international partners to direct and synchronize cyberspace efforts.

Responsibilities include developing policy, assessing risk, and guiding campaigns, while collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure secure, compliant designs across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus 3–5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree plus 1–3 years, or Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience reviewing existing cyber policy, strategy documents, and statutory guidance and assisting in drafting sections of cyberspace plans.

Responsibilities

  • Apply an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify cyber solutions across the lifecycle.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and mitigation analysis.
  • Coordinates and addresses Supply Chain risk management concerns and collaborates with Cyber and system architects to oversee solution development.

THE WORK

The scope of this effort encompasses tasks that provide USCYBERCOM with the sustained ability to fulfill its mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests in collaboration with domestic and international partners. These tasks include coordinating, synchronizing, deconflicting, and integrating operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations.

The anticipated award of this effort is Fall 2026.

As a Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner Junior you will provide Cyberspace Operations Support Services (COSS) aligned with the following core disciplines: Cyberspace Operations, Cyberspace Planning, Cyberspace Training and Exercises, Strategy/Policy/Doctrine Development and Campaign, Assessments, Information Technology (IT)/Communications, Business Area Support and Project Management Engagement Activities. You will provide the customer with the sustained ability to fulfill its mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests in collaboration with domestic and international partners. These tasks include coordinating, synchronizing, deconflicting, and integrating operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations. You will meet the evolving cyberspace operations mission in support of the Joint warfighter.

Responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify Cyber solutions across the lifecycle. Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions. Coordinates and addresses Supply Chain risk management concerns. Develop, evaluate and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain. Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions. Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements. Employs cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application. Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus 3-5 years of relevant experience is required OR Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 1-3 years of relevant experience is required OR Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 1 year of relevant experience is required.
