Job summary

NewGen Technologies seeks an IT Requirements Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer with on-site incident response and technology integration initiatives.

The role focuses on gathering requirements, identifying use cases, and coordinating stakeholders to align with mission goals and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include leading workshops, documenting requirements, and developing business cases for technology insertions while maintaining traceability and governance alignment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Secret Clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability.
• BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree; or HS Diploma & 7-9 years of directly relevant experience
• 5+ years of direct relevant experience in IT, cyber security operations, systems integration or related fields
• Strong requirements development and documentation skills
• Experience with use case development and user story creation
• Knowledge of cybersecurity operations and mission environments
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with project coordination and tracking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desired Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level II

Responsibilities

• Lead use case identification and prioritization activities with mission stakeholders
• Gather and document requirements for technology integration pilots
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and coordination meetings
• Translate mission pain points into technology capability requirements
• Develop business cases and value propositions for technology insertions
• Define measurable objectives and success criteria for pilot initiatives
• Coordinate between technical teams and operational stakeholders
• Support governance review processes with business impact analysis
• Create stakeholder communications and status reports
• Manage requirements traceability throughout integration lifecycle
• Support leadership alignment activities with briefings and documentation
• Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
