Job summary

NewGen Technologies seeks an IT Requirements Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer with on-site incident response and technology integration initiatives.

The role focuses on gathering requirements, identifying use cases, and coordinating stakeholders to align with mission goals and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include leading workshops, documenting requirements, and developing business cases for technology insertions while maintaining traceability and governance alignment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Secret Clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability.
• BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree; or HS Diploma & 7-9 years of directly relevant experience
• 5+ years of direct relevant experience in IT, cyber security operations, systems integration or related fields
• Strong requirements development and documentation skills
• Experience with use case development and user story creation
• Knowledge of cybersecurity operations and mission environments
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with project coordination and tracking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desired Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level II

Responsibilities

Our Partner is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. They are seeking an IT Requirements Engineerto support this critical customer mission.
The Requirements Engineer will facilitate use case identification, requirements gathering, and stakeholder coordination for technology integration initiatives. This role ensures technology insertions align with mission goals, operational priorities, and measurable outcomes while managing stakeholder expectations and communication.
