Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support its Federal Strategic Cyber group in Washington, DC. This on-site role will help oversee a 24x7 Cyber Operations Center and drive improvements in operations, metrics, and deliverables.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, refining processes, and producing high-quality outputs for U.S. government stakeholders. Active TS clearance and DHS EOD readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience.
• Minimum 4 years of Cybersecurity Operations, Exercise, or Training experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or contributing to a cybersecurity function or planning operation.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Cyber Operations Center resources to ensure optimal performance across inquiries and projects.
• Develop and maintain a requirements measurement framework; provide feedback to team members.
• Serve as first line of resolution for daily operational issues and escalate when needed.
• Mentor and coach team leads; set technical goals for high performance.
• Prepare and maintain documented processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Support development and updating of deliverables plans, including training and exercises.
• Contribute to high-quality deliverables such as white papers and briefings for senior officials.
• Foster a collaborative, mission-focused team culture; maintain high employee morale.
• Assist the Operations Manager with budget, planning, and administrative duties.
• Conduct focused analyses to refine and prioritize Cyber Operations requirements.
