Job summary

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking a Training Coordinator/Instructor for SC CIC to lead cyber literacy, coordinate exercises, and engage with CLOs across public and private sectors. The role emphasizes outreach, program development, and incident support within a mission-driven state agency.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in training, planning or cybersecurity, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must have relevant training and development experience.
• At least two years of professional experience in planning, risk management, or cybersecurity.
• Strong leadership and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to relay complex information clearly.
• Discretion required; on-call rotation is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Training Coordinator/Instructor for SC CIC; facilitate external communications with CLOs and Task Force members.
• Give public presentations on cybersecurity matters, best practices, and SC CIC overview.
• Coordinate and plan cyber exercises with key stakeholders; assist during incidents as needed.
• Oversee the CLO program; recruit and onboard local government and critical infrastructure organizations.
• Represent SLED in speaking engagements and meetings on cyber activities; facilitate monthly webinars.
• Develop onboarding procedures and maintain program materials; manage website content and SharePoint docs.
