Job summary

Entergy is seeking an IT Specialist I–Sr. IT Consultant to join the Operational Information Technology team at the River Bend Nuclear Station in St. Francisville, LA.

The role involves managing cyber security controls, system life-cycle tasks, and on-call rotation to support isolated systems outside the corporate network. The position supports upgrades, incident response, and vendor coordination, with prerequisites including a Bachelor's in a technical field and experience in IT delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field required, with emphasis on cybersecurity.
• 2–4 years' experience in IT hardware/software/network delivery or related field.
• DCS/SCADA or centralized monitoring experience preferred.
• Experience with SIEM and monitoring tools (WUG, Splunk, Tripwire, Trellix) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned hardware, software, databases, networks, inventories, and vendor support agreements.
• Troubleshoot legacy and modern computer systems, networks, interfaces, and security controls.
• Plan and execute upgrades, updates, database changes, and system life-cycle improvements.
• Develop scripts, interfaces, reports, and client tools to meet operational needs.
• Review engineering changes and support cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Perform cyber security impact analysis to ensure NRC compliance.
• Prepare portable media and digital devices for controlled use with critical assets.
• Conduct recurring security tasks: updates, walkdowns, log reviews, password changes, access-control reviews.
• Evaluate CVEs and participate in cyber incident response.
