Job summary

Redhawk Federal is seeking a Cyber IT Specialist for the 2nd shift to join the Federal Strategic Cyber Group. The role involves monitoring, triage, incident management, and service restoration across enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and SolarWinds.

You will document activities, triage incidents, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize outages. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to obtain interim and final security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated 1+ years in IT operations, network operations, or a cybersecurity support role experience.
• Must possess or obtain one of several professional certifications (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNA-Security, CISSP, CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP).
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for incident and request management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of incident response processes, including severity classification and escalation procedures.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and timely updates.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret clearance and final Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful pass down of information to the oncoming shift to maintain seamless operations and continuity.
• Complete Task List Reports, documenting all shift activities, incidents, and events.
• Monitor alerts and mailboxes to ensure timely communication and response to operational needs.
• Monitor enterprise tools and notify the Shift Lead of issues.
• Oversee the performance and security of monitoring tools to maintain system functionality.
• Create, update, and audit ServiceNow tickets to ensure accurate tracking and resolution.
