Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Cyber Incident Manager to support a U.S. Government customer in Arlington, VA. You will oversee incident detection, triage, and response, coordinating with internal teams to resolve breaches and restore services.

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and 5+ years of incident management experience, with knowledge of NIST 800-62, FISMA, and defense-in-depth concepts. This on-site role offers challenging missions and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required and active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Knowledge of incident response methodologies and standards.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-62 and FISMA reporting requirements.
• Ability to prioritize and document incident handling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends.
• Recommend defense-in-depth principles and practices.
• Perform CND incident triage to determine scope and urgency.
• Research known resolution steps for mitigation.
• Apply cybersecurity concepts to detect intrusions and analyze logs.
• Monitor external data sources for threat conditions.
• Identify cause of incidents and gather background information.
• Receive and analyze network alerts and coordinate information.
• Track CND incidents from detection to final resolution.
