Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a Cyber Instructor to design, develop and deliver highly technical advanced training across the defense industry. The candidate must have engaging personality, customer service adaptability, and excellent teaching skills. Travel about 30% CONUS/OCONUS; hybrid work with on-site customer delivery.

The role requires active Secret clearance, extensive experience in cyber operations, and the ability to create and deliver labs and practical exercises in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government security clearance required.
• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a Master’s, or 14 years with HS.
• Experience delivering technical training in classrooms or small groups.
• Experience in cyber operations and analysis.
• Experience with IDS, IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel up to 30%.
• Hybrid work environment with 1–2 days/week in local office.

Responsibilities

• Define learning requirements and objectives with customers for complex topics.
• Develop training materials in formats including web-based training, videos, slides, guides, labs, and use cases.
• Deliver advanced training on cyber hunt, log analysis, intrusion investigation, and related topics.
• Revise course materials to stay current with development.
• Maintain relationships with SMEs and industry professionals to stay up-to-date.
• Collaborate with trainers and instructional designers to build comprehensive programs.
• Provide mentorship to internal teams on technical skills and problem-solving.
• Stay current with emerging threats to deliver timely training.
• Travel up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS; hybrid delivery with on-site as needed.

Anticipated Salary Range:$100,664.00-$140,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. Job Description

Enlighten is looking for a Cyber Instructor to assist in designing, developing and delivering highly technical advanced training to enhance multiple mission operations across the defense industry. The candidate must have an engaging personality, customer service adaptability, and excellent teaching skills. They will work in a fast-paced, mission oriented environment with our talented team of instructors and curriculum developers. The candidate must have a background and understanding of joint service defensive operations as well as network or host cyber operations and analysis. Work location is hybrid, and the candidate must be willing to work on-site with customers as needed and travel approximately 30% of the time. CONUS and OCONUS travel is possible.

• Solicit and engage customers to define learning requirements and objectives for complex technical concepts and scenario based training.
• Develop engaging training materials in a variety of formats including web-based training, videos, slides, instructor/participant guides, knowledge checks, practical exercises/labs, use cases and best practices.
• Conduct advanced training courses in cyber hunt, log analysis, intrusion investigation, software operations, platform architecture, and other relevant topics, through use of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises.
• Revise course materials as necessary to maintain currency with development processes and publications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and industry professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in cyber hunt and related fields to incorporate into training materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with operational units to increase training efficacy and operational adoption.
• Collaborate with other trainers and instructional designers to develop comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of various audiences.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to internal teams, including coaching on technical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in order to provide relevant and timely training to trainees.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance Requirement: Must currently have and maintain an active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Experience conducting technical training in classrooms or small groups.
• Experience in cyber operations and analysis.
• Experience in training curriculum development.
• Experience working with Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to travel up to 30% CONUS and OCONUS.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days a week in the local office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes, customer needs, and in person training delivery as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• Background in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Network Operations (NetOps), and Intelligence Operations (IntelOps)
• Experience developing Web-Based Training content utilizing Markdown or HTML.
• Experience maintaining Learning Management Systems (LMS) libraries and content
• Prior government or military experience with any of the following organizations: MARFORCYBER, DCSA, DISA, Army Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, Coast Guard Cyber Command, U.S. Air Force (AFCYBER), or 10TH Fleet / Navy Cyber.
