Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp seeks cyber instructors to teach Military and Government Civilian students in Defensive Cyber Operations. Instructors must complete course and methodology training, pass evaluations, and maintain qualifications. Courses run 2–9 weeks with two-shift duty patterns and team-taught labs.

The role requires a minimum Associate's degree, 3+ years in cyber operations, and TS/SCI clearance with relevant certifications. A rigorous, drug-free environment is maintained.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in a related area.
• 3+ years in Cyber Warfare/ Defensive Cyber Operations preferred.
• IAT/M Level II certification required.
• AF Cyber Weapon System or Cyber Protection Team experience preferred.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+ certifications desired.
• Drug-free workplace with post-offer pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Instruct lessons in the assigned course; work is often team-taught with 1 primary and 2–3 supporting instructors.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of lessons to qualify as an instructor and update lessons as assigned.
• Deliver labs and ensure student understanding during sessions.
• Work two shifts (S and T): S 0700–1600, T 1500–0001; shift preference considered.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

DUTIES

• Instruct lessons in course assigned. Most lessons are team-taught with 1 primary and 2 - 3 supporting instructors to facilitate students during labs.
• In-depth knowledge (subject matter expertise) of lessons is required to maintain instructor qualification.
• Develop new and/or update existing lessons as assigned.
• Work may be split into two shifts, S and T. Duty hours for "S" shift are 0700-1600 and for "T" shift, 1500-0001. Shift preference will be taken into consideration where possible.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in a related area is required.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of Cyber Warfare/ Defensive Cyber Operations is desired.
• IAT/M Level II certification is required
• AF Cyber Weapon System experience and/or Cyber Protection Team Experience is preferred
• Top Secret Clearance/SCI required.
• The following certifications are desired: GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+.
