Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks Cyber Instructors to train Military and Government Civilian students in Defensive Cyber Operations. Courses vary from 2 to 9 weeks. Instructors must pass an Instructor Methodology Course and evaluations to qualify.

The role requires an Associate's degree, 3+ years in cyber operations, TS/SCI clearance, and multiple certifications. Work includes two shift options (S and T) with possible scheduling preferences.

Qualifications

• IAT Level II certification required.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+ certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Instruct lessons in the assigned course, often team-taught with 1 primary and 2–3 supporting instructors.
• Maintain in-depth subject matter knowledge to preserve instructor qualification.
• Develop new or updated lessons as assigned.
• Work may be split into two shifts: S (0700–1600) and T (1500–0001); shift preference considered.
• Other duties as assigned.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

• Tyonek is seeking individuals to instruct Military and Government Civilian students in Defensive Cyber Operations skills. Cyber Instructors must pass the course they are hired to instruct in; courses range from 2 weeks to 9 weeks in length. Cyber Instructors must pass a 2-week Instructor Methodology Course (how to be an instructor). Cyber Instructors must pass Instructor evaluations to become qualified as an instructor and maintain qualification.

DUTIES

• Instruct lessons in course assigned. Most lessons are team-taught with 1 primary and 2 - 3 supporting instructors to facilitate students during labs.
• In-depth knowledge (subject matter expertise) of lessons is required to maintain instructor qualification.
• Develop new and/or update existing lessons as assigned.
• Work may be split into two shifts, S and T. Duty hours for "S" shift are 0700-1600 and for "T" shift, 1500-0001. Shift preference will be taken into consideration where possible.
• Other Duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in a related area is required.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of Cyber Warfare/ Defensive Cyber Operations is desired.
• IAT/M Level II certification is required
• AF Cyber Weapon System experience and/or Cyber Protection Team Experience is preferred
• Top Secret Clearance/SCI required.
• The following certifications are desired: GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+.
