Job summary

BCMC is recruiting an Applications Developer to support a U.S. Government customer with onsite incident response and rapid software development.

You will design, troubleshoot, and integrate software across on-prem and cloud environments, leveraging Python, Linux, containers, and IaC tooling. The role requires a Secret clearance, 2+ years in applications development, and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, AWS, and Terraform.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
2+ years of directly relevant experience in applications development.
Knowledge of secure SDLC and code versioning/maintenance.
Experience with integrating COTS products.
Operational experience with Python and Linux terminals.
Familiarity with containerization and cloud/open-source tools.

Responsibilities

Design, troubleshoot, and implement software for end-to-end development and service integrations.
Develop and enhance software stacks for on-premise and cloud-based tools and services.
Troubleshoot production issues in applications and pipelines.
Evaluate and integrate new software packages and testing tools.
Automate deployments, testing, and builds using IaC tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Git-CI).
Improve documentation and development process standards.
Ensure quality through rigorous testing and pipelines.
Configure and tune COTS, GOTS, and open-source technologies to mission needs.
Operate in Linux/container-heavy environments (OpenShift, RHEL, Alma, Docker).
