Nightwing is recruiting a Cyber Threat Analyst to support a U.S. Government customer in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on onsite incident response, investigations, and remediation for breaches across government and critical asset owners.

Candidates should have active TS/SCI clearance and CSC with DHS suitability, plus hands-on incident management experience. The ideal candidate will apply threat intelligence, conduct cursory log analysis, and document incidents from detection to resolution

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
• 2+ years of cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations experience.
• Knowledge of incident response methodologies.
• Knowledge of NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System for triaging incidents.
• Understanding of general attack stages and vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with system administration and OS hardening techniques.

Responsabilités

• Research and compile resolution steps to mitigate potential Cyber Network Defense incidents.
• Apply knowledge of threat actor TTPs to identify and validate threats.
• Analyze logs for intrusion detection and defense.
• Determine incident cause and gather background info on infection vectors.
• Track CND incidents from detection to resolution.
• Coordinate with other teams for incident information.
• Triaging and researching incidents for IOCs, with potential escalation.
• May be assigned to shift work on set schedules.
