Job summary

Solero Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Cyber Forensics Analyst to support investigations, digital forensics, incident response, and threat analysis within a large public-sector environment.

The role will collect, preserve, analyze, and document digital evidence related to cybersecurity incidents, malware, data exposure, and unauthorized access, with strong knowledge of forensic methods and enterprise security technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in cybersecurity, digital forensics, CS or IT
• 3+ years in cybersecurity, forensics, IR, SOC, or cyber investigations
• Experience collecting and analyzing digital evidence
• Experience with incident investigations and security monitoring tech
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, networks, endpoints, and enterprise security environments

Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic investigations across computers, servers, endpoints, storage, and cloud
• Collect, preserve, analyze, and document digital evidence
• Perform imaging and maintain chain-of-custody documentation
• Investigate incidents including malware, phishing, compromised accounts, insider threats
• Analyze logs, network activity, endpoint telemetry, and security alerts
• Support incident response, containment, recovery, and root-cause analysis
• Identify IOCs and reconstruct security event timelines
• Prepare forensic reports, incident summaries, and remediation recommendations
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with security and evidence-handling requirements
