Job summary

Fuse seeks a security-focused professional to design, implement, and manage protective measures for DoD data and networks. The role emphasizes Linux-based, virtualized environments and RMF compliance within an agile, collaborative team.

You will troubleshoot, respond to incidents, and work across sprint planning and reviews to strengthen security controls while maintaining operational readiness in defense contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information System, Engineering, Scientific or related Technical Field or 6 years equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years of hands-on Cyber or IT experience.
• Experience with virtualized systems and administration (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
• Understanding of wireless client tools to detect and resolve issues.
• Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting firewalls.
• Experience with DoD IA and RMF frameworks.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
• Working knowledge of military networking systems and/or tactical data links.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and upgrades for security measures protecting DoD data and networks.
• Troubleshoot security and network problems.
• Respond to security breaches and incidents.
• Ensure data and infrastructure are protected via appropriate controls.
• Participate in change management processes.
• Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities.
• Implement IA controls and RMF compliance.
• Collaborate across design, sprint planning, code reviews, and scrum.
