Job summary

Fuse Integration seeks a seasoned cybersecurity professional to help design, implement, and test secure networks and systems in support of U.S. defense programs. The role emphasizes Linux proficiency, virtualization, and RMF-aligned security controls, with a background in DoD environments.

The position requires DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification, U.S. citizenship, and an active Secret clearance. You will collaborate across engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 6 years equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years hands-on cyber/IT experience.
• Experience with virtualized systems (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems.
• DoD IA and RMF frameworks knowledge.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
• U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with DoD networking systems and/or tactical data links.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and upgrades for security measures that protect Fuse and DoD data, systems, and networks
• Troubleshoot security and network problems.
• Respond system and/or network security breaches
• Ensure that data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
• Participate in the change management process.
• Test and identification of network and system vulnerabilities
• Implement IA controls and ensure compliance with DoD RMF
• Work as a team throughout the design process, supporting sprint planning sessions, code reviews, and scrum
